1. Who This Applies To
This California Privacy Rights page applies exclusively to California residents as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), which took effect January 1, 2023.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA grants you specific legal rights regarding the personal information that businesses like SeenLoop collect about you. These rights are in addition to any other privacy rights you may have under our general Privacy Policy.
If you are not a California resident, this page may not fully apply to your situation. Please refer to our main Privacy Policy for information about how we handle your data regardless of your location.
SeenLoop LLC is a "business" as defined under the CCPA because we collect personal information from consumers and determine the purposes and means of processing that information.
2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the preceding 12 months, SeenLoop has collected the following categories of personal information from consumers (including California residents):
- Identifiers: Real name, email address, IP address, phone number, account username, and similar identifiers collected during account registration, order placement, and use of our website.
- Commercial Information: Records of services purchased, order history, transaction amounts, project descriptions, billing addresses, and payment method types (card brand and last 4 digits, as returned by Stripe).
- Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity: Pages visited on our website, features used within the client portal, session duration, browser type and version, and general navigation patterns collected via server logs and analytics.
- Geolocation Data: Country and state/province level location data inferred from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
- Professional or Employment-Related Information: Company name, job title, industry sector, and business website URL, where voluntarily provided during account setup or project intake.
We do NOT sell personal information. None of the categories above have been sold to third parties for money or other valuable consideration.
We do NOT collect: Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, biometric data, health or medical information, or precise geolocation beyond country/state level.
3. How We Use Your Information
SeenLoop collects and uses personal information for the following business purposes:
- Service Delivery: To fulfill the services you purchase, manage your project, deliver completed work, and provide access to the client portal.
- Account Management: To create and maintain your user account, authenticate your identity, and manage account settings and preferences.
- Payment Processing: To process payments through our payment processor, Stripe. SeenLoop does not directly handle card data; this is managed by Stripe under their own privacy program.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, resolve issues, process refund requests, and provide technical assistance.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and enforceable government requests, including tax obligations and AML/KYC requirements.
- Fraud Prevention: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, and other potentially illegal or prohibited activities.
- Marketing Communications: To send service-related updates, promotional offers, and newsletters where you have provided consent. You may opt out at any time.
- Product Improvement: To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the functionality, design, and performance of our website and services.
4. Your California Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request that SeenLoop disclose what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold about you in the past 12 months. This includes the categories of personal information collected, the sources from which it was collected, the business purpose for collecting it, the categories of third parties with whom it was shared, and the specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request that SeenLoop delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions. Exceptions include where retention is necessary to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, detect security incidents, or for other specific legitimate business purposes permitted under the CCPA.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request that SeenLoop correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is processed.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to direct SeenLoop to not sell your personal information. SeenLoop does not sell personal information, so no opt-out action is necessary. We will not sell your data in the future without providing direct notice and the opportunity to opt out.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: SeenLoop will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, provide a different level of quality, or suggest that you will receive different treatment for exercising your rights.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Under the CPRA, you have the right to limit SeenLoop's use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to perform the services you requested. SeenLoop minimizes its collection of sensitive personal information and does not use it for inferring characteristics about you.
5. How to Submit a Privacy Request
To exercise any of your California privacy rights, submit a verifiable consumer request using the following method:

Your request must include the following information so we can verify your identity and locate your records:
- Your full legal name as registered with SeenLoop
- The email address associated with your SeenLoop account
- The type of request you are making (Know, Delete, Correct, or Limit)
- Proof of California residency — providing your state driver's license number (last 4 digits are sufficient) or other government-issued ID confirming California residence
Two-Step Verification: To protect against unauthorized requests, SeenLoop uses a two-step verification process. After receiving your request, we will send a confirmation email to the address you provide. You must confirm the request via that email before we begin processing it. We may also contact you to request additional information to verify your identity for high-impact requests such as deletion.
You may submit a maximum of 2 verifiable consumer requests per 12-month period. Requests submitted on behalf of a minor must come from a parent or legal guardian.
6. Our Response Timeline
SeenLoop will respond to verifiable consumer requests in accordance with the following timelines as required by the CCPA:
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide information about how we will process it.
- Completion: We will complete your request within 45 calendar days of receiving a verifiable consumer request.
- Extension: If we need additional time to complete a complex or high-volume request, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 calendar days. We will notify you of any extension within the initial 45-day window, along with the reason for the extension.
- Cost: We will respond to and process your request free of charge for up to 2 requests per 12-month period.
- Excessive Requests: If your requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover our administrative costs of complying, or we may decline to act on the request. We will notify you of our decision and the reason for it.
7. Authorized Agents
Under the CCPA, you may designate an authorized agent to submit privacy requests on your behalf. An authorized agent may be a natural person or a business entity registered to do business in California.
To use an authorized agent, the following requirements must be met:
- You must provide the authorized agent with written authorization signed by you granting them permission to submit requests on your behalf.
- The authorized agent must provide a copy of that written authorization when submitting the request to SeenLoop.
- SeenLoop reserves the right to verify your identity directly — even when you are using an authorized agent — to ensure the request is legitimate and to protect against fraud.
- The agent must also provide proof of their own identity and authority to act on your behalf.
If an authorized agent submits a request without proper authorization documentation, we may deny the request and ask the consumer to resubmit the request directly.
8. We Do Not Sell Your Data
SeenLoop LLC does not sell, and has never sold, personal information to third parties for money or any other valuable consideration.
SeenLoop does not engage in "cross-context behavioral advertising" (as defined under the CPRA), share personal information with data brokers, or allow advertising networks to collect your personal information through our website for third-party advertising targeting purposes.
The only circumstances in which SeenLoop shares personal information with third parties are:
- Stripe (Payment Processing): Billing name, email, and billing address are shared with Stripe solely for the purpose of processing your payment. Stripe's use is governed by their own privacy policy and they are prohibited from using this data for any other purpose.
- Hosting Provider: Our hosting infrastructure provider stores data on servers as a function of providing hosting services. They process data strictly on SeenLoop's behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Legal Authorities: We may disclose personal information to law enforcement, courts, or government agencies when required by law, court order, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SeenLoop, our customers, or the public.
